The Limn Vase is individually handcrafted using a contemporary interpretation of Nerikomi, a traditional Japanese ceramic technique in which layers of colored clay are combined to create patterns that travel through the material itself.

Layers of colored porcelain form the distinctive grid pattern, making the design part of the porcelain rather than simply a surface decoration. The intricate process takes days to complete, resulting in a sculptural piece with its own individual pattern and character.
